Palms this Sunday

Even though public liturgy is closed, I will still have blessed palms available for pickup any time after noon on Sunday. I'll talk more about the palms themselves on Sunday.
Devotionals and blessed objects in the house are real ways that connect us to the One who makes things holy, God Himself. This has been a tradition since the beginning of Christianity. There were miraculous cures that came from pieces of cloth that were simply touched by St. Paul and then taken to the ill (Acts 19:11-12).
Another piece of news which I will email out soon, we will have ONLINE TITHING through the diocese! God has always instructed His faithful to tithe for many reasons. God has always had a preferential love of the poor with many examples in the Old and New testaments. The Church is organized in such a way, that she helps individuals with the resources given to her. We have organizations such as Catholic Social Services or St. Vincent de Paul, which help people with food, medicine, rent, or finding employment. In truth, not all of us have the time or ability to be there and present for the poor, that's why we give financially. This way we support the people who do help! Everyone is called to tithe, even every priest. I enjoy tithing to my parishes as well as supporting the causes very close to my heart, like FOCUS missionaries.

And simply select the amount and which parish you are tithing. Either: Assumption Church of Juniata OR Sacred Heart Church of Roseland
Select it's a Parish Gift (this is weekly tithing)
You can select to be reoccurring! Meaning, it is automatically given each week without you having to do anything. I know I definitely like this option when donating to FOCUS.
Quick and easy! Again, I'll post flyers and emails as well. We can use the same process when it's time for the Charity and Stewardship Appeal (known as DDP). It can be done online as well. More details to come! https://www.lincolndiocese.org/diocese/giving
Praying for you all! Stay safe and stay healthy! I'm viewing this time as a gift from God for more prayer and silence. I know I've deepened my connection with Him in so many ways ... I pray you all are able to do the same :)
In Christ,
Fr. Nathan Hall
