The Triduum - The three holy days starting on Thursday and culminates on Easter.
I have been so very touched by everyone reaching out asking how I am doing. Very kind of you all. I am doing very well. Praying more. Reading more. I'm asking the Lord how to use the quiet and there are many benefits.
That being said, I do have some sadness with this first Triduum as your pastor. I wish there was something I could do to make this holy time special for all of you. However, we got a reminder and an emphasis that again ... no liturgies that are public.
I do have some favors to ask from all of you.
1. Maybe print these posts off for those who don't use a computer. Or, set up a computer for a loved one to watch a streamed mass.
Omaha has great services: https://archomaha.org/holyweek/
Bishop Barron has AMAZING homilies and liturgies: https://www.wordonfire.org/daily-mass/
2. Come into the church to pray each day these three days (I guess four total). If you walk into one of the liturgies, feel free to stay! Spread the word on this for sure! If you happen to walk into a mass, or stations, or readings ... feel free to stay and respond and/or just be there and absorb. The sad thing is ... we would have to keep the 6-feet distance so no Communion.
Overall, still praying for this community. I've been praying the churches, walking around Roseland praying for healing/protection for every soul here. I'll continue to intercede!!
God bless you Sacred Heart and Assumption! Happy Triduum
In Christ,
~Fr. Hall
